MODIFICATIONS/Upgrades
(Roughly in order)
Basically, everything listed in the REPAIRS/Replacements column to the left, most notably the
PI intake manifold upgrade.

Handheld Cobra CB radio, wired to external antenna.

WoLo Air Horn (for a milder beep than the stock Crown Vic's horn, but great fun to use them
both together).

Push-Bumper - Added a Go-Rhino push-bumper (a.k.a. police bumper, pushbar, push-bar)
with brush guards and a small reflective U.S. flag sticker for good-measure.

Modified center high-mount stop lamp (third brake light, CHMSL) to flash upon activation for
6-seconds, after which it burns steady.

Extra brake lights (round towing-style) added to deck on either side of CHMSL - now blacked
out with VHT Nite-Shades, along with the reverse lights (which now contain 55w halogen
bulbs).

K&N Performance Air Filter

After about 6 months, I started to do my own oil changes.  I now use a K&N Gold oil filter and
Ford Motorcraft Premium Synthetic Blend motor oil with every oil change.  I have flushed the
oil system twice in the past year, and I have used a ceramic magnet inside the oil filter to
help trap loose metal particles (it works).

Sony XPlod stereo head

Added a trunk light so I can see inside the trunk at night.  It wasn't made to fit the Vic,
though, and sustained some damage.  Replacing it soon with an OEM Police trunk light.

Hardwired Cobra XRS-R9G laser and radar detector - the latest technology, able to detect
radar bands not yet introduced in the Americas and equipped with GPS to remind you if
you're speeding (if you set it to do so) and notify you of nearby photo-enforcement (speed
cameras, red light cameras) with a discreet mounting setup.

Upgraded battery terminals to gold-plated Tsunami terminals with easy screw-on fasteners
and accessory holes.

ACA Performance & XGL Headlamps aftermarket DOT/SAE kit installed.  It's 4300K white
bi-xenon (lo beam and hi beam) High Intensity Discharge (HID).
Emergency equipment -
Purchased CERT and EMT
kits that fit directly in the slot
inside the trunk next to the
full-size spare tire.  Flares,
flashlights, traffic-conrol
wands, automotive fire
extinguishers, roadside
emergency kit, emergency
jumper, Hi-Viz gear all
located in the trunk and/or
cab of the car.  The rear
fascia is marked with
reflective stickers: a red
cross (first aid), red fire
extinguisher,
red-white-and-blue waving
U.S. flag.
