REPAIRS/Replacements
(Roughly in order)
New battery -
Interstate Mega-Tron II

New tires - Old tires were not properly aligned, so they had uneven tread-wear.  I kept one
of the old tires as a full-size spare and purchased 4 new
Firestone Firehawk PVS (Pursuit
Vehicle Snow)
V-rated high speed all-weather tires.  They are specifically designed for
Police Interceptors and high-performance vehicles to provide year-round performance in
mud and snow, but they work in all conditions.  They are stock-size, but better quality than
the tires previously on the car.  Significant handling improvement and about a 5% MPG
increase came with the new tires.

Grille - Swapped out the original chrome grille for a black honeycomb 'police style' grille.

A/C - Evaporator core and accumulator/drier replaced (aftermarket), along with fittings and
sensors.  Would have replaced the condenser, but it was damaged in shipping and I didn't
want to deal with that again.  Compressor is on the to-do list.

Replaced intake manifold with Performance Improved (PI) intake manifold from Ford
Performance Racing Parts, which has the aluminum coolant cross-over.  Replaced some
hoses at the same time.

Replaced heater core (old one ruptured and spilled coolant all over the highway).

De-Gunked engine compartment and engine crankcase.  Used cleaning agents and
restoration lubes in motor oil.  Sealed leak in stock engine-oil cooler.

Other little things here and there, including, but not limited to: hood rest bumpers replaced,
clamp on airbox replaced (originally one was missing).

Hammered out some dents and used body putty in some others.  Painted to match, but it
needs a lot of work.  Professional body-work and paint job soon-to-come.
